Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ConsTradeHire ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Who Can Use ConsTradeHire

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • You must provide accurate information when registering
  • One account per person โ€” duplicate accounts are prohibited

3. Worker Accounts

As a worker, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful resume and profile information
  • Only apply to jobs you are genuinely interested in and qualified for
  • Maintain professional conduct when messaging employers
  • Not misrepresent your qualifications, certifications, or experience

4. Employer Accounts

As an employer, you agree to:

  • Post only genuine, legal job opportunities
  • Not discriminate based on age, gender, race, religion, disability, or any protected characteristic under the Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Respond to applicants in a timely and professional manner
  • Not collect personal information beyond what is needed for hiring decisions
  • Comply with all applicable employment laws in Canada and Ontario

5. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Posting fake jobs or fraudulent listings
  • Harassment, hate speech, or threatening behaviour
  • Attempting to bypass platform security
  • Scraping or automated data collection without written permission
  • Using the platform for any unlawful purpose

6. ATS Scores & AI Features

ATS match scores are provided as a guide only and do not guarantee interview offers or employment. Scores are calculated using keyword matching algorithms. ConsTradeHire is not responsible for hiring decisions made by employers.

7. External Job Listings

Some job listings are sourced from third-party providers (e.g. Adzuna). ConsTradeHire does not verify the accuracy of external listings and is not responsible for the content of third-party job postings. Always research employers independently before applying.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, post fraudulent content, or engage in behaviour harmful to other users โ€” without prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

ConsTradeHire is provided "as is". We are not liable for any employment outcomes, lost wages, or damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed CAD $100.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in Ontario courts.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of significant changes by email.
